COVID SAFETY RULES
- The event will be held indoors, with the venue following updated CDC guidelines for large gatherings and COVID-19 cleaning and sanitation protocols, including operating MERV 14 air filters to help mitigate the transmission of infectious aerosols.
- We respectfully ask that attendees who are experiencing cold, flu, or COVID-19 symptoms or have interacted with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of the event not attend.
- Upon arrival, attendees will be required to sign a COVID-19 waiver.
- As of March 7, 2022, Mayor Eric Adams and his administration have lifted mask mandates and vaccine requirements for indoor dining and entertainment. In accordance with the CDC local guidelines and the venue, we will not require proof of vaccination or a negative test to attend the event, however
- As an extra layer of safety for all our guests, staff, and Covenant House youth in attendance, we are asking everyone to conduct a rapid self-test on the morning of the event to eliminate the risk of exposing others to COVID-19. We will not be collecting results. We trust our community members will take the appropriate next steps.
- Given New York City has raised its COVID-19 alert level to “high” as of May 18, 2022 and in accordance with the strong suggestion of the Commissioner of Health and Mental Hygiene, “all individuals, regardless of vaccination status or past COVID-19 infection, should wear a mask at all times when indoors and in a public setting…(unless) actively performing an activity that cannot be done while wearing a face mask such as actively eating or drinking…or performing.” We will have masks available for guests who don’t have one on-hand. If this alert level changes on or before Monday, we will make that known to guests.
- Please note, this continues to be subject to change based on CDC guidelines and local mandates. All attendees will be notified if there is a change to our safety measures.
We thank you for your patience and flexibility as we manage this, and your commitment to the fundamental purpose of this event: to provide every young person with a safe place to sleep and support them on their journeys toward independence.
